About
Executive Coaching
I obtained the ICF, EMCC and AC accredited Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching through Henley Business School after working as a GP for 10 years. On completion of the Proessional Certificate in Executive Coaching I gained the experience and sat the exam to become an Associate Certified Coach with the ICF. I am a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society having completed an Experimental Psychology degree at the University of Sussex before studying Medicine at Bristol University. My practice is evidence based and reflective, and I use the Universal Eclectic Model of coaching to draw upon tools according to the needs of the client. I work with clinical and non clinical leaders to bring their dreams into reality. I am particularly interested in the use of narrative coaching as tool to evoke awareness and create meaningful change. I believe that my clients already have everything they need to achieve their goals. I bring unconditional positive regard and compassion into the heart of my coaching, empowering clients to create agency and energy in their life and work going forward.
My Story
“If one has courage, nothing can hide the light that shines within.”
— Maya Angelou
While I was working as a GP I had a nagging sense that this wasn’t the life I was meant to be living.
I felt stuck in a life that wasn’t mine, always hustling to be bigger, to be better, to be more. I didn’t know however, when “it” or I, would be enough.
I was on an ever-moving escalator and I didn’t know how to get off.
“You either walk inside your story and own it or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness”
— Brenee Brown
And then I got COVID 19 and my world turned upside down. Due to complications of the virus I was unwell enough to need to stop working indefinitely.
Suddenly I couldn’t hide in my busyness. I couldn’t hide behind my identity as a doctor anymore.
I needed to get really honest with myself and face those big adulting decisions that I didn’t want to.
I needed to be brave.

Looking at myself honestly wasn’t easy and it wasn’t pretty. I saw things I had hidden from for years. I saw many things that made me cringe. I had to acknowledge that I had in fact been hiding in my fear for many years.
And through this process I found things that made me feel light. Things that I thought I had abandoned with childhood, but had been sitting there waiting for me to grow up. I found that if I looked and listened to myself, there was a real authentic person waiting inside. All I had to do was allow her to be. To be brave enough to show her to the world.
“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen”
